M. Ersun Bayraktaroğlu

Independent Board Member

Ersun Bayraktaroğlu, a graduate of Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Business Administration, holds a master's degree in Economics from Western Michigan University in the USA. He worked as a Revenue Controller at the Ministry of Finance for approximately 10 years, conducting tax audits and investigations in both private and public institutions. Following this, he worked at Nurol Holding A.Ş. for six years, serving successively as Auditor, Finance Manager, and Head of the Financial Affairs and Audit Department. He joined PwC in 2002 as a Senior Manager and became a partner in July 2007. Bayraktaroğlu has extensive experience in tax consulting, tax auditing, internal auditing, financial consulting, financial management, and financial and administrative auditing for both public and private institutions. Having worked in PwC Turkey's Banking and Capital Markets, Transportation, and Real Estate specialist teams, and leading PwC Türkiye's Real Estate Sector for 17 years, Bayraktaroğlu retired from PwC Türkiye in June 2024. Throughout his 38-year career, he has provided tax consultancy services to numerous domestic and foreign commercial and investment banks, brokerage firms, leasing, factoring, portfolio management and consumer finance companies, transportation companies, securities and real estate investment funds, real estate investment companies, and real estate companies. During his career, he has served as a Board/Executive Board/Supervisory Board member in real estate sector NGOs such as GYODER, ULI Turkey, and GİSP; regularly publishes articles in various print publications and blogs, particularly in the field of real estate taxation; and has been a speaker at many seminars and conferences. Bayraktaroğlu also holds the titles of Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor, and currently serves as a Board Member at Nurol Holding A.Ş. and Nurol İnşaat A.Ş.. As of June 16, 2025, Bayraktaroğlu has been an independent Board Member at IC GYO, and and also serves as the Chair of the Early Detection of Risk Committee and the Audit Committee, and as a member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Apart from his Board membership at IC GYO, Bayraktaroğlu holds no other group-internal roles.
