Bomontiada

The Bomonti Beer Factory, which gave its name to the area it is located in, is a unique industrial facility with unparalleled architectural features both in Istanbul and in Europe. Established in the late 19th century by the Swiss Bomonti brothers, the factory was the first beer production facility in the Ottoman period to possess modern production techniques. It continued to be used by Tekel until the early 1990s for the same reason. The factory building, which holds significant importance among Istanbul's cultural heritage, has been transformed into a cultural and entertainment center, one of Istanbul's must-visit attractions, under the IC Bomonti Project developed by IC Holding. While preserving the spirit of the original building, it merges history with innovation and serves as a nexus for culture and the business world. Bomontiada houses various functional areas including dining spaces, performance and exhibition halls, and workshops.
